1. Overheating: Overheating is a common issue in marine engines and can result from insufficient coolant levels, a malfunctioning thermostat, a clogged cooling system, or a faulty water pump. To address this issue, marine mechanics should check and maintain proper coolant levels, inspect and clean the cooling system, replace defective thermostats or water pumps, and ensure proper circulation of coolant.
2. Fuel System Problems: Fuel system issues can lead to engine performance problems, such as rough idling, poor acceleration, or fuel inefficiency. Common fuel system problems include clogged fuel filters, malfunctioning fuel injectors, or fuel contamination. Marine mechanics can resolve these issues by regularly replacing fuel filters, cleaning or replacing fuel injectors, and ensuring the use of clean and high-quality fuel.
