If the rules governing cause and effect are unstable, inconsistent, or different between dimensions, the entire process of information transfer becomes inherently unreliable. The sender's action (the cause of transmitting information) can no longer be guaranteed to produce the expected reception (the effect of an intact, identical signal) in the destination dimension. This instability directly undermines correctness, which is the accuracy of the information matching its original state. During transit, without stable causal laws governing the physical medium or substrate of the information (e.g., the energy states of particles, the structure of waveforms), the information could spontaneously alter, degrade, or mutate without any discernible or consistent cause. For instance, a physical state representing a digital '1' could randomly flip to a '0', or become an unreadable state, because the underlying physical processes responsible for maintaining its integrity are no longer consistently bound by predictable causal relationships. Furthermore, it destroys originality, which is the authenticity of the information being the genuine, unaltered product of its initial source. If effects can occur without consistent causes, then a received piece of information might not be the direct, unaltered consequence of the specific transmission event. It could be a modified version, an independently emergent pattern within the receiving dimension that merely resembles the original, or even a spontaneous generation. This makes it impossible to definitively attribute the received data to the original sender or guarantee that it is the unique, genuine article, as the direct causal link from the act of sending to the presence of the received information is broken.
