How can we classify Hawaiian Pidgin Creole, compared to general stigmatism, in its modern status?

In modern status, Hawaiian Pidgin Creole, also known as Hawai'i Creole English, is experiencing increasing recognition as a legitimate language variety, despite its historical stigmatization. While it has faced negative perceptions in the past, viewing it as broken English or a sign of low social status, there is now a growing movement to acknowledge and value it as a distinct language with its own unique grammar and cultural significance. This recognition is reflected in its increasing use in literature, music, and everyday communication, as well as in efforts to promote its understanding and acceptance in educational settings. Though some stigma may still persist, its status is shifting towards greater acceptance and appreciation.
